Public Pressure

That's right! You, all my blog followers, are going to help me get more exercise! I have a box on my side bar where I make public how many visits I make to the gym each week.

What is a visit? I'm glad you asked. A visit consists of aerobic activity and weights, totaling about 1 1/4 hours. Or, it is a bike ride to and from the gym, plus a weight training workout. Thanks for putting on the pressure...it helps just knowing you are there, witnessing my successes, or forcing me out of my failures!

I have several new changes/additions to Icelandic Fever. I'm open to comments or suggestions!

You are an inspiration, I could stand to lose about 20 pounds and gain some muscle mass as well. I'll start Sunday, right after my lunch date/photo shoot with Lab Munkay...

Idea for blog posts: best days of your life, one day per year, from as early as you can remember.

Interesting idea! Are you going to do it too? Tell me about Sunday! I would love to meet Munkay. Maybe I'll be able to visit with y'all in July...(American Library Assoc. meets in Chicago 9-15)
Please give LM my warmest wishes.

Rose,

If you are going to Chicago, you HAVE to eat at Singha! (if it is still there...I'm guessing it is!) It's up near Quaker Tower. Oh my gosh, I just realized it's been 12 years since I lived there...time flies.

I worked out today! 25 minutes on my "gazelle" (please don't laugh, it beats sitting on the couch knitting) and 25 minutes of YogaZone. I'll email you some photos that inspired me...

Peer pressure is a terrible thing to waste. You go girl!

All: it's great to see that peer pressure works both ways! Feel free to brag, it will inspire all of us :-)
Today's exercise didn't consist of going to the gym. Instead, Antonia, John and I went out to dinner, and found my tire flat afterwards. So the three of us fumbled around changing it, until an Amazonian woman ex-race car pit crew person stopped to help us. And she was very helpful, too! We could have done it without her. It would have taken much longer.

I made a note of Singha, Shannon. It's still there, and I can't wait to try it!

I'll think about that "best day concept" over the weekend. It might be kind of hokey, but I enjoy reading (and writing) about happy things as well as the serious. I'll put my current weight on my blog, at the bottom of my links, just to keep me honest! My goal is 160 by the end of summer.

For someone who experiencing almost the same issue, I will just say. Stay strong! Seeing results after a good exercise is the best motivation, Isn't it?

Ok guys, not being as energenic as the two of you, I'm thinking of having a running count of how many times I opened my fridge door in one day or number of times dug down into the recliner to find my remote in stead of bellering at the kids to find it for me.
