Can you identify all the elements?

Hot pots, glaciers, waterfalls. Rocks. Booze. Money. Books. Yep, sounds like Iceland! =)

What is the location of the hot pot you all were in? It reminds me of the one at Snorri Sturlson's homeplace in Reykholt but I don't remember it rising up so sharply on the sides.

Another comment...here is a link to some photos of Reykholt and Snorri's pool. The view from this location was incredibly beautiful and peaceful and I honestly didn't want to leave!

... well, the Brennivín is to be expected (hint: it's better sipped than taken as a shot) and I think I see Gulfoss in one of the pictures. The book on the left is about Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, Auður has a "Where´s Vigdís?" photo in one of her albums...

DID YOU KNOW... that the 2004 Icelandic movie "Dís" features a cameo by Vigdís (The screenplay is by Birna Anna Björnsdóttir, who, like the lead character in the movie, worked the desk at the Hotel Borg in 2000- the same time the Weaver and I stayed there!)

PB-wish I could see Dís. Did you like it? Was Vigdís the one in the middle, third from front, black & white neckband? I didn't like Brennivín sipped or shot...I do not like it here or there, I do not like it anywhere ;-)

Shannon--see next post!

I wrote a post about it and Cold Light, it was an OK coming-of=age story, with lots of scenes in 101. Vigdís is in the lower right corner, the picture is from Audi's old blog, part of a series about Women's Day Off, October 24, 2005...
