Jody and I embarked on our 1/2 continental marathon Tuesday, traveling from Alta Loma, California to Grand Junction, Colorado in 14 hours. We made one major stop at Las Vegas, for a delicious brunch at a Mexican-Cuban restaurant.

Day two, Wednesday, we traveled from Grand Junction, Colorado to Grand Island, Nebraska in 11 hours. We had one major stop in Georgetown, Colorado for lunch.

So far we have found uncrowded roads, good food, relaxing times, and two major thunderstorms with possible tornados. Jody did some fancy obstacle course driving in Grand Junction, avoiding branches and errant wallboard that was being blown about.

We expect to reach Minneapolis by Thursday evening!

It makes me nostalgic for the Colorado mountains. I see another road trip in your future ...
