An Interest in Trees

I trace the interest in genealogy in Iceland to the lack of trees. Because of the sparsity of trees, people opt for family trees and find themselves forests among their forebears.

Perhaps John will be the one to find that he has Icelandic forebears, not me?

I'll work on it. Vikings were very active in the Baltic Sea, which fronts Poland. In the 9th and 10th centuries Swedish Vikings set out across the Baltic Sea into Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Russia and established settlements all along the coast. I also have blue eyes.
