My Minnesota relatives have the inside track on Icelandic goods, since many folks from Iceland settled in that part of the country. Here's what they came up with:
Flag bumper sticker |
That's right: an AWESOME light switch plate! |
My Booksale Scout's haul |
Now my keys won't get lost at work |
I am also very excited about more Booksale Treasure, due to arrive from Iowa.
Last, but surely not least, a panoramic photo of Reykjavík, compliments of Professor Batty:
This doesn't do it justice, but you can use your imagination. Thanks to all of my personal Santas--from Ames, to Anoka, from Minneapolis to Richmond--you're the best!

Ho, Ho, Ho...
Just wrap that picture around your head and your back on the shore of Tjorin...
wow...did someone design that switchplate for you or is it readily available to the general public? quite a bit of awesomeness you got this year!
Isn't it super, Shannon? My sister-in-law picked it out--she had John send her a selection of pictures we took in Iceland, and she picked that one out to make a switch plate. Not sure where she got it, but you may need to find out when you return from Iceland and want to make a switch plate out of your favorite photo! I hope you are going to blog about your trip? So the rest of us can come along?
Lucky you! When I saw the switch plate I thought it looked familiar, but figured it was just one of those "touristy" shots.
Love the lightplate :-D Do however wonder how come only one "santa" came to visit, you do realize by Icelandic standards that would make you a naughty one ;-)
Gunnella, I'm busted! Okay, so I've been a little naughty ;-)
We had a student at my library ask for books in the Piers Anthony Xanth series--I wondered if that is what inspired your blog title?
