The Godwin Marching Band rocks! This fall their theme is "Legends," and they designed a wonderful Viking ship complete with musical iconography. Our Band Director was kind enough to present me with my very own Viking shirt, which will look great with my jeans each Friday. (Besides, I've had a secret desire for some time to be a marching band member.)

John's old HS marching band won State Championship last week. First time. WesternBandAssociation. He LOVED being in the band. Tonight they were in the Seal Beach parade...Go Griffins.....Wonder why you like that shirt so much, hummm
Do you have a nickname, or is this a typo Janet? If the former, long "a" ? Did John see the parade on TV? We were looking at our 1981 wedding pics last night and saw several of you!
Yes it is me with a long e as in Jan E.childhood nickname. John and I are going to try and go see the band when the preform at Disneyland...Did I have my white girl afro going on in 1981? Great reception in the vineyard...
I want to go! That sounds like so much fun--post pictures, and be sure to look up Jeff Duke! Yes, you had kind of a white girl 'fro, as did I but my hair was long so mine just looked like a frizzy bush. The eighties were not a fashion paradise. Let's see ... what decade did I like, fashion-wise? I did like the 40's retrospective that emerged in the 70's ...
