Newsflash from Shannon:

DIRECT FROM ICELAND!

See Iceland on the NBC TODAY SHOW, Monday and Tuesday, November 17 – 18, from 7 - 9 a.m. local time.
As part of “TODAY Goes to the Ends of the Earth,” the popular morning news and entertainment program is sending Al Roker to Iceland to report live, starting Monday. Roker will examine the changing climate of Iceland, and will also take a look at the dramatic efforts the country has made to use water as an alternative energy source.
“We’re going to head to fragile yet beautiful places for an up-close look at how the planet is changing, and what those changes mean for all of us,” said America's favorite weatherman.

I was so excited about seeing this and guess what...we came home yesterday afternoon, turned on the tv and...no satellite reception! Turns out someone took our satellite dish! I cannot tell you how upset we are...and now I will miss seeing Iceland on TV. =(

You should be able to see it on You Tube--at least, I was able to see old episodes there. That's what I was planning to do as I'll be at work when it airs. Or, I can tape it and send you a tape if we think that YT won't have it for some reason...

Or, you could take the kids to school early, find a sports bar, and plonk yourself down on a barstool. You may have to order several really expensive drinks so that they'll let you select the channel!

BTW, Shannon, I'm really sorry that someone took your s. dish. That's so incredible!

I completely missed it this morning. TV usually isn't on in the mornings and if it is, it's PBS...by the time I thought to talk to my dad (7:40), he said it was almost over. Ugh. Did you tape it? I will check You Tube tonight also, good idea.

The theft of the dish isn't so incredible, really. It was placed on a pole on our neighbor's property because our house is surrounded by trees. He has a clear shot to the sky and his dish is in the same spot. His yard borders the road in and out of the local ballfields. What is incredible is that this happened in the middle of the day and no one saw it or thought it odd! Oh, and they left our neighbor's dish behind, I suppose because it was Direct TV and not DISH Network. Who knows!!!

Maybe you can find a better one, but if not this will probably do!
