Captain Gunnarsson's grave...
Munkay asks, what's in the red bottle?
I don't know. What do YOU think?

Could it possibly hold a candle? Or maybe a genie? It looks like there are air vents in the top.

Konrad Gunnarsson's ashes? It looks like there is something lumpy in the bottom. Rocks?

Rose, do you know the answer or is this all just to drive us nutters?

I really don't know the answer, Shannon! I'm hoping someone will tell me! If we don't find out I'd like to think it is the home of a genie...

Lava lamp, for sure.

Why didn't I think of that, Karen? Welcome back!

Almost certainly a candle, although in a more ornate container than one usually sees them. Such things are all pervasive in Italian cemeteries.

Shannon's friend agrees with Thor (and Thor, I know who you are...the Italian cemetaries was a "dead" giveaway...sorry):

"It contains a candle we put on graves. It's supposed to make sure the candle burns and the wind doesn't blow on it. You can both buy the candle in the jar and throw it away when it's done and also buy one that you can replace the candles."

Thanks to Thor, Shannon, and Shannon's friend! Mystery solved!
