Susan was sorting through some papers and came across her son's Iceland Report from 6th grade. Knowing my enthusiasm for Iceland, she brought it in to work to share with me. It's too good not to share some of it with you, too!
After much discusssion we concluded that all the things on the map that look like trees are actually Greg's way of representing mountain ranges. For one thing, it was a very comprehensive, six-page report, so he certainly was aware that there aren't many trees in Iceland. For another, he wouldn't have trees growing sideways, now would he?

The title page (that is librarian speak) is also excellent. Sort of an Iceland/USA theme going on there.
